Sunday’s Best Winner Joshua Rogers is Returning With New Album

Joshua Rogers is Returning to recording music after a five year hiatus. The lead radio single “Pour Your Oil” from the album Returning, is released on his new record label Mixed Bag Music, LLC and distributed by Entertainment One (eOne). The album is set for a 2nd QTR 2018 release. “Pour Your Oil” is produced by BMI’s 2016 songwriter of the year honoree Lucius B. Hoskins (Shirley Caesar, James Fortune). Returning sees the Rogers return as a young man after beginning his career as a teenager. The album and its single speak to Rogers’ personal story that includes depression due to his career, finances and health.

Rogers’ took to his Instagram to share the news of the forthcoming project:

“Wow has it really been five whole years [thoughtful] No matter, GREAT THINGS AHEAD FAM!!!!! You guys have no ideas the tears and prayers that have gone before God from me these past few years!!! Yet God is so faithful and continues to blow my mind [praise]”

Returning boasts of Rogers’ incredible range and talent and a host of incredible super porducers such as Asaph Ward (Mary J. Blige, Kim Burrell), Dennis Atkinson (Virtue, John P. Kee), Elvis “Blac Elvis” Williams (Tamar Braxton, Smokie Norful, K.Michelle), Pierre Medor (Sean Paul, Syleena Johnson), James Wright (SENSERE), David Minus, Andre Johnson and Khirye Tyler (Jermaine Dolly, Jessica Reedy). In addition to his return to music, Joshua will also be releasing an autobiographical book later this year and will highlight his experience with instant stardom. The book will be a welcomed punctuation to Returning.

The 2012 Sunday Best winner, was the first male and youngest to win the competition. He followed up the win with his debut album Well Done, which reached No. 1 on Billboard Top Gospel Album Chart and its follow up effort Unconditional which reached No. 2 on the Top Gospel Album Chart.
